If you already have seen a dog listed on our website, Facebook, Adopt-a-Pet or Petfinder that you are interested in, please fill out our full application, downloadable at the link at right! It can then be emailed back to us at app@fortunatelabrescue.org and we will get back to you within a few days to complete the approval process.
Please fill in the form (at right) if you do not have a specific dog in mind yet and would like to talk to an adoption counselor about possible current or upcoming matches.

tested for Heartworm
vaccinated for Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordetalla
microchipped
checked for fleas and treated with appropriate medication when necessary
checked for internal parasites and worms
spayed/neutered - Please note covers the cost of the spay or neuter, but certain clinics require blood panels prior to surgery, and/or medications afterwards. FPALR does not cover these additional costs.

Please be aware that there may be expenses not covered by FPALR. For example, we do not pay for rabies tags. Also some adopters choose to bring their newly adopted animals to their own vet, which is not one of our Animal Care Providers. In this case, we are unable to reimburse for the costs of vetting. Since we are an all volunteer, registered, not-for-profit 501c3 charity organization, our Animal Care Providers offer our group special rates and or terms.
