Dogs usually get adopted in 2-3 weeks, and you can always rotate. The economy has left millions of animals in Animal Control Facilities due to be destroyed. The City of Chicago is striving to make our city no kill! Many big dogs such as labradors have a better chance at getting that right home in the suburbs! We help them! Harley wants to say thank you to the family that adopted Bear so that he could get a second chance in his life. He is a black Lab fella who is a new arrival so we are learning more about him every day. He has the typical Lab temperment and loves his playmates.Harley did let us in on his secret though, he does know how to sit, stay and come. Perhaps next week we find out he knows how to do dishes....
Buddy is a black labrador about the age of 2, who had a miserable life! Buddy comes from KY and he was fortunate
enough to be found by a nice ACO who was attached to him. He had to tranquilize him, finally, after days of trying to catch him.
He was without food and water, and had an injured front foot. They immediately took him to the vet in KY and the vet stated that it was an old injury. The plea went out for his need to be rescued, and FPALR jumped in! The ACO kept him at their animal control facility for weeks in order for him to be socialized. Buddy was neutered, has all of his shots and is microchipped. Although Buddy limps at times, he is healthy, he is not shy any longer and plays with toys! Again another miracle of FPALR! The ACO in KY asks about Buddy
and we would like to send him a picture with his new family. Will that be you?

New arrival Brett, unique in color almost chocolate black lab fella . About 1-2 years old who is a big soft lanky lab/hound mix who loves sniffing around and finding treats. I know how to sit and will love to learn more tricks soon.
